This is possibly one of the greates things I mist of the English countryside - seeing Pheasant in the wild.One of our neighbours keeps poultry in a cage in woodland close to our boundary and has a couple of Pheasants -but it's not the same.I hear 'cock up' as it goes to roost which is a comfort.Where I lived in Hampshire thay were in abundance.
I think someone must breed them around here because there are so many of them.I love to watch them and the male colouring is so vibrant in the springtime.
